THE YELLOW BROWED BULBUL (मराठी : हळदी बुलबुल, पिवळ्या भुवईचा बुलबुल हिंदी :हल्दी बुलबुल) A shy bird found in the forest of SOUTH INDIA to SRILANKA mostly lives in the foliage below the forest canopy. It is also knows as the golden browed bulbul. The individuals get brighter as we go further south along the western ghats. They feed mainly on berries and insects.About a week is taken for building the nest and the eggs are incubated for about 13 days. Mostly 2 eggs are laid at a time. One of the very rare migrants to India. When I got the information that lesser kestrel can be found near Pune I was a bit excited. Upon further enquiry can to know that it is seen just 4 kms away from where my construction site is in progress. The Next morning went to the place and made some very nice images of this female. There were almost 6 to 7 females and all were very bold allowing me crawl and make an awesome image. Mumbai Pune Old Road February

The Peregrine Sunset
Crawling allows a photographer to get closer and wait for the image you want to make. After crawling for about 50 meters for getting the Peregrine Falcon against the setting sun I was waiting for it to take off and make some images of it. Waiting for Cubs
While we were in LRK (Little Rann of Kutch) in December we could see the Fox pairs which were in the mating process. We also saw a few glimpses of the same. The Fox cubs will come out from their dens in the late February or early march. Little Rann of Kutch December 2019
The Rarity in spotlight
FORK TAILED DRONGO CUCKOO This bird was perched for quite a long time and we knew that this was something different. It was then that we found out that this was a rare fort tailed drongo cuckoo. It is a brood parasite on small babblers. It is not known how or whether the drongo-like appearance benefits this species but it is suspected that it aids in brood-parasitism just as hawk-cuckoos appear like hawks.
