The male of the himalayan blue throat also known as SHANKAR due to the myth as lord shiva had a blue throat while the female is less significant of all subspecies usually have just a blackish crescent on an otherwise cream throat and breast.

They migrate in the winters to lower altitudes. the bird of size of a robin is very beautiful and a bit bold to come out in open and perch on the top of the trees to give you some nice shots.
